 Demo Days Anchor Launch of Bell’s Business Internet Unplugged

 TORONTO, Ontario – When Bell Canada was planning the launch of their newest wireless networking product for small and medium business, Business Internet Unplugged, they brought in two key partners. 

The first was Grand and Toy, Canada’s leading source for office supplies, imaging, technology and much more.  The second was the Richmond Hill -based experiential marketing company JGK Integrated Solutions.

            “Bell wanted to get Business Internet Unplugged in front of their customers,” says JGK founder Jim Koufis.  “They know experiential marketing works, and we proved it to them again with this program. When our brand ambassadors encountered a customer in the target group, the purchase rate was almost 100 percent.”

            After reviewing Bell’s detailed marketing strategy, Jim and his team developed Demo Days, a series of product demonstration sessions which took place in selected southern Ontario Grand and Toy stores.  JGK created custom display units integrating Business Internet Unplugged, which they situated near the stores’ main entrances.  They also hired and trained brand ambassadors to engage Bell’s target customers and educate them about the product’s key features and benefits.

            “The brand ambassadors were very professional and showed a genuine interest in promoting the product to all customers that entered the store,” said Dan Magier, the manager of a Grand and Toy outlet in downtown Toronto.  “The display was set up quickly, efficiently and looked great.”

            JGK also developed a contest in which customers could win a free Business Internet Unplugged package.  In addition to creating a new point of interest for the target customers, this device also allowed JGK to gather valuable prospect information for later use by their client.

            “For me, Demo Days really reinforced the power of experiential marketing,” says Jim Koufis.  “You can’t get this kind of bang for your buck any other way.”
